This stair tread restoration brought a 1960s home entryway back to its original character. We used solid white oak to match the era and seamlessly integrated the new treads with the existing structure and railing. One of the key details in this project was re-creating the rounded edges of each tread—subtle curves that defined the original design. Giving those portions the attention they deserved was crucial to honoring the home's craftsmanship. The result is a clean, sturdy staircase that feels both refreshed and true to its roots.
